US Amateur Cup

The US Amateur Cup was established in 1923 as the National Amateur Cup in response to the overwhelming number of teams playing in the National Challenge Cup (US Open Cup).  Originally a competition held by USSF, it is now managed by USASA.  Teams entered in the US Amateur Cup may not use players registered as professionals in the competition.

The teams that participate through the Region I qualifiers are those who advanced as champions of their state association, national or regional league.  The competition format is single elimination.  The Region I Finals will be played in June at the Ukrainian American Sports Center in Horsham, Pennsylvania. The winner will represent Region I at the USASA National Cup Finals in Salt Lake City, Utah in July.  The winner will also represent the Region in the 2015 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.
